City Manager Charles Gomez and assistant City Manager Donald Fraser will get raises effective July 1 if other Lynwood employees settle current wage negotiations.
Gomez’s salary will be $5,833 a month, up from $5,141. His monthly car allowance will be raised from $250 a month to $400.
Fraser’s salary ladder range will be increased to between $4,458 and $5,429 a month. It has been between $4,139 and $5,044. Fraser, who has not received a car allowance, will start getting one of $250 a month.
The council passed the salary increases by a 4-0 vote with Mayor Paul Richards abstaining. The action was taken to bring the salaries of the city manager and assistant city manager in line with those of other department heads, Fraser said.
