Ernst Ruska; Nobel Prize Winner in Physics

Ernst Ruska, 81, who shared the 1986 Nobel Prize in physics for developing the electron microscope. A professor at West Berlin’s Technical University, Ruska shared the prize with West German scientist Gerd Binnig and Heinrich Rohrer of Switzerland. He was given the award for developing the electron microscope in 1931. Friday in West Berlin.
