A van carrying the Northeastern University rowing team to a regatta overturned, killing a university employee and slightly injuring 11 passengers.
The van, which rolled over at least once, was driven by rower David S. Peters. Charles Smith, 46, of North Attleboro, Mass., who maintained the boats, was thrown from the van and killed.
