Dennis Purcell a mountain man? Give me a break. I would be impressed if the mommy bear he killed was also armed with a rifle.
Articles such as “Bear Country” (June 1) may cause other air-headed cowards to take up arms in the name of controlling the bear (deer, etc.) population. Too bad we can’t control our own.
