Mad at Mode Critic

Regarding Chris Willman’s “At Worship With Depeche Mode” (June 20), I was very upset and angry at the “review” he gave the “Concert for the Masses.”
He used the quote “teeny-bopperish” for the fans . . . I think he must have been at the Tiffany or Debbie Gibson concert instead of Depeche Mode.
Also, how dare he even compare the song and music writing talents of Martin Gore to Prince. At every Depeche Mode concert I have been to, they have “never let me down.” This one was no different.
Depeche Mode is a very fan-oriented band, and Chris must not be a fan, because he seems to be the only one disappointed with the concert. He made them sound like they were a bunch of sacrilegious monsters that were trying to corrupt the youth of the world.
I think he needs to listen to the lyrics a little more closely, but then again I think Depeche Mode is a little bit too sophisticated for him anyway.
