Joint Venture Acquires Amfac Foods Subsidiary

L. W. Acquisition Inc., a joint venture formed by Golden Valley Microwave Foods Inc. and Conagra Inc., has acquired an Amfac Foods Inc. subsidiary for $275 million, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The unit, Lamb-Weston Inc., processes frozen French fries that are sold primarily by fast-food restaurants. Conagra is an Omaha-based seller of flour, grain and agricultural chemicals. Golden Valley is based in Edina, Minn.
