Citing the Writers Guild strike, ABC has dropped its plans for a movie about the three Ray brothers, who were driven from their Florida hometown because they have been infected with the AIDS virus. But the deadly disease--and the social stigma attached to it--will still be portrayed: An ABC television movie about Ryan White, an Indiana teen-ager with AIDS, is in the works. Ricky, Robert and Randy Ray stood to make $100,000, earmarked for a medical trust fund, but could still receive the money if another network picks up the project, said the family’s attorney, Judy Kavanaugh. “NBC is negotiating with them now,” she said.
