Group Seeks Changes in Investors Finance

A group led by San Francisco investor John Vida would like to elect two of its representatives to the board of Investors Finance Inc. and may try to take control of the company, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The group, which controls almost 12% of Investors Finance’s common stock, said it wants to make some changes in the company’s operations and may consider “the possibility of attempting to take control” of the Honolulu-based financial-services concern.
