A Long Beach man killed his wife and sister-in-law before turning the gun on himself in a double-murder suicide early Monday, Long Beach police said.
Robert Moran, 28, shot his wife, Susan, 37, and her sister, Shirley Martin, about 12:45 a.m., then shot himself in the head, Detective Logan Wren said.
The Morans and Martin, who was visiting from Los Angeles, were heard arguing by neighbors before the shooting, Wren said.
This was not the first time police had been called to the Morans’ apartment near Bixby Park, the detective said. “There have been previous incidents of fighting between the two of them,” he said.
