Local News in Brief : Irvine : Robber Hits Bank, Escapes With $630

A robber claiming to have a gun took $630 in cash from a Security Pacific Bank branch in the 16800 block of MacArthur Boulevard Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The suspect entered the bank about 2:40 p.m., told the teller he had a gun and demanded money, Irvine Police Officer David Stormer said.
The suspect ran away and no vehicle was seen. Police are still looking for the robber, who was described as a male Latino with short black hair, about 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds.
