Motorola Inc. reported a second-quarter profit of $120 million, compared to $80 million a year ago. The Schaumburg, Ill.-based semiconductor and communications equipment company said revenue rose 27% to $2.09 billion. But analysts said a sharp drop in income at the Information Systems Group caused the overall earnings to fall short of most Wall Street forecasts.
