A Louisiana man sought by the FBI for nearly a year was apprehended over the weekend after acquaintances saw his picture on a nationally broadcast TV show and contacted police, an FBI spokesman said. Robert Wayne Fisher, who made the FBI’s most-wanted list when he jumped bail after killing his wife last August, was arrested by El Centro police half an hour after being profiled on “America’s Most Wanted,” a crime information program, the FBI said. Fisher, 47, was being held in the Imperial County jail and law enforcement officials in Louisiana said they expected him to be extradited within 30 days. Fisher was arrested at an area motel where he lived while working on a geothermal energy project, agents said. Several people at the motel, including Fisher’s roommate and a registration clerk, recognized his picture on the TV program, the FBI said.
