Investment Firm Hikes Image Entertainment Stake

Image Investors, a Secaucus, N.J.-based investment firm, has acquired a 7.98% interest in Image Entertainment Co., according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The investment firm said it most recently bought 1.26 million common shares of the Hollywood-based distributor of movies on video disc and cable at 17 cents a share from the company under a stock purchase agreement.
