Let’s Give Credit Only to Whom Credit Is Due

Well, the good old boy network is alive and well. Stu Nahan, on radio, is throwing out accolades and Dodger Executive Vice President Fred Claire and Manager Tom Lasorda are taking all the bows.

Isn’t it a fact that if the Dodgers had failed to sign Kirk Gibson, the fans would have tried to run Peter O’Malley and Claire right out of town?

I’m not saying the players disrespect Lasorda, but I don’t think they have the proper regard for him and tend not to take him too seriously.

But the players do know that if Mr. Gibson doesn’t think the proper winning effort is shown, they may very well be under the grandstand getting an attitude adjustment.
