Today’s edition of KPBS-FM’s (89.5) “Calling Moscow” show should be a little livelier than usual. After the regular live, hourlong telephone hookup with Radio Moscow, during which listeners can speak directly to guests in the Soviet Union, outspoken Dr. Vytas Dukas, professor emeritus at San Diego State University, will answer phone calls on the air. Dukas, born in Lithuania, has written many articles and reviews on the Soviet Union and has done many translations. The topic of the program, which begins at 3 p.m., is the Soviet education system.
