Ending several days of speculation, Amnesty International announced Thursday that the Los Angeles date of the “Human Rights Now!” benefit concert at the Coliseum will remain Sept. 21. But now the show will start at 7 p.m.--after sundown, to avoid conflict with the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur--and the sets by Tracy Chapman and Youssou N’Dour will be slightly shorter than elsewhere on the tour. Bruce Springsteen, Peter Gabriel and Sting will still perform their normal sets. David Hinkley, Amnesty International’s regional director, said Thursday a date change proved impossible.
