“Father of the Bride.” MGM/UA. $19.95. 1950. A young Elizabeth Taylor was the bride and Spencer Tracy was her flustered father in this classic comedy-drama directed by Vincente Minnelli.
“A Guy Named Joe.” MGM/UA. $19.95. 1944. Tracy as a deceased airman who returns to Earth to help a pilot (Van Johnson).
“End of the Line.” Lorimar. $79.95. 1987. PG. Charmer/drama about a plan to hijack a locomotive. A remarkable cast includes Wilford Brimley, Levon Helm, Kevin Bacon, Holly Hunter and Mary Steenburgen.
“Braddock: Missing in Action III.” Media. $89.95. 1988. R. Another one of mean Chuck Norris’ Vietnam adventures.
“You Can’t Hurry Love.” Vestron. $79.95. 1987. R. Charles Grodin, Sally Kellerman and Kristy McNichol in a comedy about a long-suffering seeker of love (Grodin).
“Rawhide.” Playhouse. $19.98. 1951. Outlaws hold people hostage at a stagecoach station in this Henry Hathaway Western starring Tyrone Power and Susan Hayward.
“Man Outside.” Virgin. $79.95. 1987. PG-13. Secluded man (Robert Logan) tries to clear himself of a false charge with help of anthropology professor.
“The Big Store.” MGM/UA. $19.95. 1941. The Marx Brothers proved they could turn out a truly awful film with this clunker. Fortunately, MGM/UA is including a 1937 MGM short on the tape and is also re-releasing “A Night at the Opera” and three other classics from the gloriously silly siblings at the same price.
“New Moon.” MGM/UA. $19.95. 1940. A lesser Nelson Eddy-Jeanette MacDonald musical, but featuring notable Hammerstein-Romberg score. The best thing about this tape may be the added short, Robert Benchley’s hilarious “How to Sleep.” Also re-released at this price: “Maytime,” “Naughty Marietta,” “Rose-Marie.”
“Riders of the Storm.” Nelson. $89.98. 1987. R. Vietnam vets raise a ruckus in B-29 bomber. Featuring Dennis Hopper and Michael J. Pollard.
“Yogi and the Magical Flight of the Spruce Goose.” Worldvision. $29.95. 96 min. Feature-length cartoon featuring that fabulous bear from Jellystone Park--and a not-so-fabulous commercial.
“Seven Cities of Gold.” Playhouse. $19.98. 1955. Conquistadors seek riches in the American West, find religion. Stars Richard Egan and Anthony Quinn.
“Naked Warriors.” MGM/UA. $79.95. 1987. R. Campy trash about gladiator gals (Pam Grier plays one) from producer Roger Corman.
“The Hills Have Eyes.” Magnum. $59.98. 1977. R. Video re-release of Wes Craven horror flick.
“Hotel Colonial.” Nelson. $89.98. 1987. R. Thriller starring John Savage and Robert Duvall.
