Local News in Brief : Ventura Freeway Lanes to Close Over Weekend

The three outside lanes of the westbound Ventura Freeway in Westlake Village will be closed from half a mile south of Reyes Adobe Road to Reyes Adobe Road, from 7 p.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Saturday, while concrete beneath bridges is replaced.
The three inside lanes of the same stretch will be closed from 7 p.m. Saturday until 1 p.m. Sunday, California Department of Transportation officials said.
The weekend construction is part of a $13-million project to replace a nine-mile stretch of deteriorated concrete pavement from Las Virgenes Road to Hampshire Road in Thousand Oaks.
