California has agreed to join 10 other Western states in a computerized fingerprint system. “When fully operational, the new system will give law enforcement in all 11 states access to fingerprints of more than 14 million persons and should result in solving many crimes which would otherwise go unsolved,” said California Atty. Gen. John K. Van de Kamp.
