Pennsylvania Passes Trash Recycling Law

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Gov. Robert P. Casey on Thursday signed a law making Pennsylvania the largest state in the nation to require that all residents separate their trash for recycling.
Residents will have to separate leaf waste and three other recyclable materials chosen by local officials from a list including glass, aluminum, steel and bimetallic cans, high-grade office paper, newsprint, corrugated paper and plastics.
