Richard G. Eils was named president and chief executive of Pay’n Save Drug Stores, the Seattle-based stores acquired June 29 by Thrifty Corp., Los Angeles. Eils, 50, replaces Gerald Nathanson, who has left to pursue other entrepreneurial interests. Eils retains his current responsibilities as president of Thrifty Corp. and Thrifty Drug Stores, the company’s largest division. Richard A. Dortch, 38, a senior vice president at Thrifty Corp., has been named executive vice president and general manager of Pay’n Save. John Onestinghel, 46, has been named executive vice president and general manager of the Thrifty Drug Stores subsidiary. Onestinghel had been senior vice president and assistant to the president of that division. Thrifty Corp. is a subsidiary of Pacific Enterprises.
