LOS ANGELES COUNTY - News from Aug. 3, 1988

Newhall Land & Farming Co. has named Thomas E. Dierckman and James Smith senior vice presidents and Stephen C. Schmidt vice president. Dierckman previously was senior vice president of Valencia Co., Newhall’s real estate development division, and vice president of Newhall Land. Smith previously was vice president in information systems. Schmidt previously was director of sales for Newhall Investment Properties. He recently returned from a year in the Sloan Program at Stanford University Graduate School. Newhall owns and is developing the planned community of Valencia.
