Travelers Corp. reported a $337-million loss for the second quarter, contrasted with a $105-million profit last year. Revenue totaled $4.5 billion, up 7%. Hartford, Conn.-based Travelers, the nation’s seventh-largest insurance concern, said the results reflect a $415-million addition to real estate reserves to offset lending losses in the depressed Southwestern market.
