Court Ruling on Picketing Homes
Greenberg is missing the point of the Supreme Court decision against anti-abortionists picketing a surgeon’s house. Fact one is that abortion is not against the law. Fact two is that the means already exists to change the law. If the picketers do not choose to use those means to change existing law, then their picketing of a law-abiding person amounts to hazing, harassment and vigilantism and is, as such, against the law. Would it be OK with Greenberg if someone burned a cross in the street in front of the house of a black family instead of on their lawn? Get real!
