Talk about something getting lost in the translation. Numerous audience members who went to see Linda Ronstadt over the weekend in Boston were miffed to the point of asking for refunds. Not because Ronstadt was late, or the sound system broke down--but because the show comprised mariachi tunes sung in Spanish. Ronstadt’s latest release, “Canciones de mi Padre,” is also all-Spanish, and she’s been touring on the album, singing in Spanish, for more than six months. But, according to United Press International, a large number of people at the Great Woods Center for the Performing Arts outside Boston kept shouting “English, English” and eventually left, demanding refunds as they went.
