Chase Manhattan Bank will provide up to $360 million in permanent financing for the new 73-story Library Tower project under construction in Los Angeles. The building, which will offer more than 1.3 million square feet in office and retail space, will be the tallest building west of Chicago when it is completed next year. Library Tower, located at Fifth and Hope streets, is part of the Library Square project, which will provide the majority of the funding for an extensive renovation of the Los Angeles Central Library, a designated National Cultural Heritage Monument.
