Kimball Represents Many Drunk Drivers

Mike Downey must have left his good sense in L.A. while he covered the Olympic diving trials in Indianapolis.

My diving experience didn’t teach me the things Downey seems to have picked up along the way: that people are guilty until proven otherwise, that parents should walk away from their kids if they make a mistake, that friendship is fine as long as things go well, that bad taste is something that applies only to other people, that access to the pen gives license for personal attack and that the rights of others are secondary to his need to write a clever column.

I hope Mike just had a few bad days. If not, perhaps I can show him the view from the 10-meter tower some time. We can talk about courage.
