Family Values

This letter is not intended to present any political, religious or social arguments to James Boone’s letter of Aug. 28 criticizing the Irvine Values Coalition. We have all heard them. Rather, it is to voice my support of traditional family values, and my opposition to a city ordinance I feel is unnecessary and a waste of our city’s funds.

I question whether Scott Peotter and Eleanor Moore are as “outside the mainstream of political and religious thought” as Boone believes. While not involved with the coalition, I strongly commend their desire and appreciate their efforts to preserve traditional family values.
