Forum to Discuss Relocating Fair

A public forum on a proposal to relocate the San Fernando Valley Fair to Pierce College will be held Tuesday, Woodland Hills community leaders said.
The 7 p.m. meeting will be held at the campus Performing Arts Building, located near the college’s football stadium, said Robert Gross, vice president of the Woodland Hills Homeowners Organization.
Fair officials last month tentatively agreed on a one-year lease of college facilities that will allow them to stage their 1989 event at the Woodland Hills campus. Since 1975, the annual fair has been held on the Devonshire Downs fairgrounds at Cal State Northridge.
