Skateboarder Injured

A 5-year-old skateboarder suffered cuts and bruises Saturday when he darted out in front of an Irvine police car, police said.
The boy, whose name was not immediately released, was treated at Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach after the accident at 7 p.m. on Summerstone at Timbergate.
