Dustin Hoffman’s portrayal of an autistic character in the coming film “Rain Man” has prompted the Academy Award-winning actor to help raise funds to battle the behavior disorder. Hoffman, who plays an autistic man who inherits $3 million, will attend a Huntington, W. Va., premiere of “Rain Man” on Dec. 11 to benefit the city’s Autism Services Center.
