Defensive end Richard Dent, fighting a 30-day National Football League suspension for refusing to take a drug test, has reached an agreement with the league that will allow his suspension to be lifted, his agent said.
“An accord has been reached,” Steve Zucker said, adding that a formal announcement will be made today.
Zucker did not give details of the agreement, but he told the Chicago Tribune that the league had a representative at the Bears’ Halas Hall headquarters in Lake Forest, Ill., in the event a drug test had to be administered.
