One Marine was killed and four others were injured in a training accident Wednesday afternoon at Camp Pendleton.
The accident occurred when a light-armored vehicle traveling over rough terrain went off a trail and rolled several times down a steep ravine, a base spokesman said.
The name of the dead Marine is being withheld until his family is notified. The other four were treated for minor injuries at the base hospital.
The five were undergoing infantry training.
