HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL : City Section Roundup : Smets Connects 3 Times to Lead Kennedy

Tony Smets completed 15 of 26 passes for 228 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead Kennedy to a 22-6 nonleague victory over Crenshaw on Friday night at Kennedy.
Crenshaw scored first on a 48-yard run by Kevin Hicks, but Kennedy scored with 54 seconds left in the first half on a seven-yard touchdown pass from Smets to Billy Parra. Jason Rosen’s conversion gave Kennedy a 7-6 lead.
Smets threw a two-yard touchdown pass to Carlos Gomez in the third quarter and added a 38-yard scoring pass to Parra in the final quarter.
