Director Francis Ford Coppola will be president of the jury for the 1989 International Film Festival to be held in Cannes, France, May 11-23, 1989, festival officials said on Monday. Coppola is the only director to have twice won the festival’s coveted Golden Palm award, in 1974 for “The Conversation” and in 1979 for “Apocalypse Now.” His latest film, “Tucker,” is currently in release.
