Undefeated CSUN Moves Up to No. 6 in Division II Poll

Cal State Northridge advanced to No. 6 in the Division II football poll this week after a 31-6 victory over Sonoma State. Northridge (3-0) has outscored opponents, 96-6, and has not allowed a touchdown.
It is the highest ranking CSUN has achieved in football since 1976 when the Matadors won 3 in a row before losing to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
North Dakota State (2-0) is ranked No. 1, followed by Central Florida, 3-0; Indiana (Pa.), 2-0; St. Cloud State (Minn.), 3-0; West Chester (Pa.), 2-0; and Northridge.
Rounding out the top 10 are Winston-Salem (N.C.), 3-0; Troy State (Ala.), 2-1; Texas A&I;, 1-1; and East Texas State, 3-0.
Northridge travels to Pocatello, Idaho, on Saturday for a nonconference game against Idaho State of the Division I-AA Big Sky Conference.
