‘Evils of Two Lessers:’ Bush and Dukakis Campaigns

Now add to the long list of those who apparently enjoy bashing George Bush for going negative in the campaign the name of William Schneider as per his column.
Schneider, and others of his ilk, chooses to overlook the fact that early in the Dukakis campaign the candidate remarked that the present Administration is like a dead fish that always begins to rot at the head. What kind of sweet-talk does Schneider think that is? And later in his diatribe he refers to Bush’s “savage attacks on Dukakis.” Michael Dukakis is not making savage attacks on Bush?
