Erwin D. Okun, a public relations executive who has served three chief executives in seven years at Walt Disney Co., has been promoted to the newly created position of senior vice president-corporate communications. Okun, 54, will continue to serve as a corporate officer as well, the Burbank entertainment company said. Before joining Disney, Okun was director of communications for DiscoVision Associates, a joint videodisc venture of IBM and MCA. His earlier posts included various top IBM public relations assignments and newspaper jobs, including a stint as business editor of Long Island-based Newsday.
