Camarillo Captures Cross-Country Title

Camarillo runners placed among the top 3 in all 7 scoring races Saturday to lead the Scorpions to the team title in the Palos Verdes cross-country invitational at Palos Verdes Park.
Placings were determined by combining the times of each school’s 7 runners, with Camarillo posting a team effort of 85 minutes, 58 seconds over the 2.2-mile course. Torrance was second at 87:52. Hart finished fourth behind third-place Los Gatos.
Camarillo’s Shawn Goetzinger posted the fastest time of the day, winning the race for each school’s top varsity runner in 11:26.
