LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Cal State Fullerton, whose loss to Cal State Long Beach last week ended the 49ers’ 9-game losing streak, will seek to end its own 3-game slide against New Mexico State in a Big West Conference game at 5:30 p.m., PDT, today at Aggie Memorial Stadium.
New Mexico State (1-5) scored its only conference victory since joining in 1984 over Fullerton 2 years ago, when the Aggies upset the Titans here, 24-21. Fullerton won last year’s game, 48-14.
The Titans (2-5) have struggled offensively all season and have yet to score more than 2 touchdowns in a game. Fullerton must win its four remaining games to salvage a winning season, a goal the Titans last accomplished in 1985, when they went 6-5.
