Hirohito Condition Stable

TOKYO — Emperor Hirohito remained in stable condition today amid signs that the internal bleeding that has plagued him for eight weeks may have stopped, a palace official said. The 87-year-old monarch completed a fifth day without needing a blood transfusion and without discharging blood.
