A 72-year-old man walked across a street in San Diego late Tuesday and allegedly shot and killed two men after accusing them of blocking his driveway, a police spokesman said.
Sam Lewis surrendered to police at his home in the 330 block of Gavin Street, near National City, at 7:46 p.m., police spokesman Dave Cohen said.
Police recovered a .32-caliber pistol and took Lewis to downtown County Jail, where he is being held without bail pending arraignment next week, a jail clerk said. The men killed were James Nichols, 28, who lived across the street from Lewis, and Robert Reed Rose, 33, Cohen said.
