Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased 4.4% in October, when 379,750 flew into and out of the airport.
That compares to 363,802 in the same period last year.
Air carrier flight operations increased 6.1% and commuter airline operations decreased 22.3%, compared to October, 1987.
Total aircraft operations climbed 0.9% last month, compared to the same period in 1987. In October, total aircraft operations--including take-offs and landings--totaled 42,445. In the same period last year, total aircraft operations amounted to 42,048.
General aviation activity accounted for 82% of total aircraft operations last month. That is a 1.5% increase compared to October, 1987.
