Heavy snow forced postponement of the men’s World Cup downhill scheduled Sunday at Val D’Isere, France, the International Ski Federation announced.
Officials said they hoped to hold the race today, although more snow is forecast. If the race is not held today, it will be shifted to another site later in the season.
U.S. skier Jeff Olson required nine stitches after cutting a toe on some medal striping on stairs at the team hotel. However, Olson said he would still be able to compete.
