Old San Francisco Building Slated as Ritz-Carlton Hotel

The 1909-era Metropolitan Life Insurance Building, 600 Stockton St. on the east slope of Nob Hill in San Francisco, will be turned into a Ritz-Carlton Hotel starting in December.
Whisler-Patri, an architectural firm with offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles, will rehabilitate the registered landmark at a cost currently undetermined.
Completion is expected in 1990.
