IN BRIEF : Fluor Reports Drop in Income

IRVINE — Fluor Corp. reported its fourth-quarter income today at $23.6 million, down from $24.2 million during the same period last year.
Net earnings dropped to $23.6 million or 30 cents from $145.5 million or $1.82 a year earlier. Revenue rose to $1.61 billion from $1.21 billion.
For the full year, the construction and mining corporation reported income from continuing operations at $56.4 million or 71 cents, compared to a loss of $75.3 million or 95 cents a year earlier. Revenue rose to $5.13 billion from $3.92 billion.
Net earnings rose to $56.4 million or 71 cents, up from $26.6 million or 33 cents.
