Christian Heritage Has Seven Players in Double Figures

Seven players scored in double figures as Christian Heritage College routed visiting Spring Arbor College of Michigan, 124-84, at Granite Hills High School Saturday night.
Bill Soucie led Christian Heritage with 17 points. The Hawks (9-2) have won seven consecutive games at home and next play host to Point Loma Nazarene on Dec. 31.
Jeff Steffen and Rob Meeter had 16 points apiece; Rundy Foster and Dave Kirksey had 15 each; Will Cunningham had 14, and Mark Kraatz added 13 for Christian Heritage, which led, 52-26, at the half.
Trent Allen led all scorers with 21 for Spring Arbor (1-12).
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Sonya Carter scored 21 points, but U.S. International University lost to Texas El Paso, 68-63, in the first round of the Texas El Paso tournament.
UTEP (4-3) led 36-33 at the half. USIU (2-6) plays Loyola Marymount (3-3) today in the consolation game. LMU was a 72-61 loser to McNeese State.
