Manhattan Store Planned

NEW YORK — Abraham & Straus department stores will debut in Manhattan in mid-August of 1989, according to its owner, Campeau’s Corp.
A&S; is a division of Campeau’s Federated Department Stores Inc. and has stores in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The new Manhattan store will front on Sixth Avenue between 32nd and 33rd streets, occupying the lower eight floors of the building.
