5 Bus Riders Killed in Punjab; Sikhs Are Blamed

AMRITSAR, India — Police on Monday found the bodies of five bus passengers shot by suspected Sikh militants in the Mand area of India’s troubled Punjab province.
The assailants Sunday stopped a state-owned bus, ordered all seven Hindu passengers to get off and took them into the jungle, police said. Besides the five killed, two passengers were later found wounded and in serious condition.
