A 67-year-old motorist suffered a fatal heart attack Sunday while driving in Westlake Village, authorities said.
Charles Roth of Westlake Village called paramedics early Sunday morning, complaining of chest pains, said Sgt. Kevin Mauch of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. He was urged to wait for an ambulance, but Roth insisted on driving himself to the hospital, Mauch said.
Roth drove his car into the electronic gate of his condominium complex in the 31500 block of Lindero Canyon Road, Mauch said. Roth died from the heart attack shortly after paramedics arrived, he said.
